About us

At Pieter van Huystee Film we are committed to surprising, beautiful and moving documentaries. We want to tell stories that reflect on the world we live in and that sharpen the gaze. They excite, alienate, make you angry, comfort and make you wonder.

It is our ambition, through documentary, to better understand each other and the world around us. We focus on a mixed audience, which can also be small and special. By playing with multiple perspectives, everyone can recognize themselves in our films in their own way. We work with documentary makers who work carefully and treat characters with respect. Thanks to the choice of universal themes, our films can be seen all over the world and are screened at festivals worldwide. We work together with young and established filmmakers from home and abroad and we often co-produce with the countries where we shoot our films.

Pieter van Huystee Film is an independent film and television production company specialized in documentaries. PVH Film was founded in 1995.
